Where can I buy a lab-grown engagement ring online with delivery to Ireland?

Two reasons not to. First, you cannot try your ring on before ordering — it does not exist yet, because every ring is made after you order it. No showroom. A personal meeting in Prague is possible by arrangement. Second, it takes weeks, not days: production comes first, then delivery.

Reasons people do it anyway. The ring is made to your specification — gold colour, carat, shape, size, engraving — and the price forms live on the page. Every centre diamond above 0.30 ct carries an IGI or GIA report, its number laser-inscribed on the stone. Prague is inside the EU and inside the euro: no customs, no import duty, no currency conversion on top, and EU consumer law applies just as it does with an Irish seller. Since Brexit that is no longer true of a British jeweller — a ring posted from London can arrive with an Irish VAT and duty bill at the door.

And the company is checkable before you spend a euro: Kove Jewelry s.r.o., IČO 27484611, is in the Czech business register (the company dates to 2005; I have owned and curated it since 2023) and is registered with the Czech Assay Office (Puncovní úřad), registration No. 15432.

Rings are made to order by a small network of partner ateliers, inspected by me personally, and shipped insured from Prague.

1. Payment, then production. Solitaire and three-stone rings: usually 10–28 business days; pavé, halo and hidden-halo designs: 28–35. If your centre stone is already in local stock, the 10-day end applies — ask before ordering if you have a date.
2. Inspection and dispatch. Each ring is checked against its specification and certificate in Prague, then ships by insured, tracked courier with signature on delivery. You receive the tracking code by e-mail.
3. Transit to Ireland. 3–7 business days after dispatch — the same window we quote anywhere in the EU; the Irish Sea is a flight, not a border. Door to door: 13–35 business days (about 3 to 7 weeks) for a solitaire or three-stone ring; 31–42 business days (about 6 to 8½ weeks) for pavé and halo designs.
4. Taxes and customs: nothing to pay on delivery. Ireland and the Czech Republic are both EU member states — no customs clearance, no import duty, no courier handling fee for clearance. Kove is registered under the EU One-Stop-Shop (OSS) VAT scheme: your invoice shows Irish VAT (23 % standard rate) and the product-page price already includes it; the total you agree to at checkout never changes.
5. Northern Ireland is a different case. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. The statements above about customs and Irish VAT are about the Republic of Ireland. If your address is in Belfast, Derry or anywhere else in the North, write to us before ordering and we will tell you exactly what applies to your parcel.
6. Shipping cost. Free within the EU, insured to the declared value.

A made-to-order ring cannot be returned because you changed your mind. That is not a Kove rule: the EU consumer rights directive (2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)) excludes goods made to the buyer’s specification from the 14-day withdrawal right, and Ireland’s own implementation of it — S.I. No. 484 of 2013 — carries the same exclusion. An Irish jeweller making a ring to order works under the same rule. What we do instead:

• You approve it before we make it. Every detail is confirmed with you, and you have a 48-hour window after ordering to change the specification free of charge.
• If the size is wrong, write to us before sending anything: most designs can be resized, and we quote the cost and shipping in advance.
• Lifetime warranty on craftsmanship — a loose stone, a lifted prong, missing pavé — on top of the statutory 24-month warranty for defects.
• Wrong item, defect or transit damage: a wrong item is exchanged or refunded in full; a defect is repaired, replaced or refunded; for transit damage, refuse the parcel or photograph the damage and contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

• Every diamond above 0.30 ct ships with its own IGI or GIA report; the number is laser-inscribed on the girdle. Check it online before the ring ships — GIA Report Check or IGI Verify Your Report — and match the inscription under a loupe after delivery.
• The finished ring comes with a printed Kove certificate showing the model, its net gold weight and a QR code that opens your stone’s lab report.
• Ireland takes hallmarking seriously — gold sold there is struck at the Assay Office in Dublin Castle, and Irish buyers tend to look for the mark.
