Kove Jewelry
Terms & Conditions
Effective from 2 May 2026.
1. Seller
Kove Jewelry s.r.o. Registered office: Radlická 2343/48, Smíchov, 150 00 Praha 5, Czech Republic Company ID (IČO): 274 84 611 VAT ID (DIČ): CZ27484611 Registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 387225 Date of incorporation: 10 November 2005 Contact: info@kove.jewelry Supervisory authority: Česká obchodní inspekce (ČOI), www.coi.cz
2. Ordering Process
We offer made-to-order jewelry and, in selected cases, loose stones (including natural and lab-grown diamonds) and mini-diamond parcels. For jewelry orders, you select your preferred configuration (gold colour, stone type, size, optional engraving). For loose stones and mini-diamond parcels, selection and reservation are confirmed individually based on supplier availability. Your order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email.
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices may be displayed in EUR or CZK depending on your selected currency. All prices include VAT (DPH) at the applicable rate. The exchange rate used for currency conversion is set by us based on Czech National Bank rates plus a small fixed margin to cover banking costs; the rate locks in at the moment you place the order, and the order currency stays fixed throughout payment, fulfilment, and any refund. All orders — both made-to-order jewelry and loose stones — require 100% prepayment before production or dispatch. At checkout you choose one of two payment methods: • Card payment (Visa, Mastercard, and other methods supported by Stripe). Payment is processed securely by Stripe; card details never reach our servers. After successful payment you receive a single confirmation email and the order moves into production / dispatch immediately. • Bank transfer. We email you a proforma invoice with our bank details, the exact amount, a unique payment reference (variable symbol), and a payment deadline. The account on the invoice matches the order currency: CZK orders are paid to our Czech crown account, EUR orders to our euro account. Production / dispatch begins once payment arrives. For made-to-order jewelry, production begins only after we receive your full payment. For loose stones, the stone is reserved with our supplier once payment arrives and availability is confirmed at that moment; if the stone is no longer available, we contact you to offer a comparable alternative or issue a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel orders if payment is not received within the specified timeframe.
4. Delivery
Production or dispatch time varies based on the specific product and configuration selected. For loose stones and mini-diamond parcels sourced through external inventory, availability and dispatch timing are subject to confirmation at the time of reservation. We ship to addresses within the EU and selected international destinations. Shipping costs and timelines are communicated during checkout or confirmation. For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, taxes, or import charges may apply and are the responsibility of the customer unless stated otherwise.
5. Right of Withdrawal
Our business model is made-to-order: we do not stock finished jewelry or stones. Every item — bespoke jewelry, individually reserved unique stones, and mini-diamond parcels — is sourced or produced specifically for your order after we receive your payment. Under §1837 letter d) of the Czech Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.), the standard 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract does not apply to goods manufactured according to the consumer's specification or clearly adapted to their personal needs. This applies to all of our product categories: • Bespoke jewelry (configurator orders) — produced to your selected configuration: gold colour, stone choice, ring size, and optional engraving. Production cannot be undone. • Individually reserved unique stones — when you pay for a specific stone (identified by its grading certificate number), we reserve that exact stone with our supplier. The reservation is irreversible from the supplier's side. • Mini-diamond parcels — each parcel is selected from supplier inventory and shipped to us specifically for your order. Suppliers do not accept returns of opened or assigned parcels. For these reasons, we cannot offer a 14-day return for change of mind. Your statutory rights regarding defective goods and warranty claims remain fully protected — see Section 6. Detailed return conditions, the warranty claim process, and the withdrawal-form template (for the cases where withdrawal does apply, e.g., defective goods) are set out on our Return Policy page.
6. Defects and Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. Your statutory rights regarding defective goods are fully protected and cannot be waived. Under §2165 of the Czech Civil Code, you have the right to claim a defect that becomes apparent within 24 months of receipt. Process: email info@kove.jewelry with your order number, photographs of the defect, and a brief description. We respond within 5 business days with a proposed resolution and, if the claim is valid, cover return shipping. Remedies follow §2169 ObčZ in this preference order: repair, replacement, or refund. Please refer to our Return Policy page for the full warranty-claim process and timing.
7. Photographs
Photographs of jewelry on this website are illustrative. Each piece is produced to order, and natural variations in stones (colour saturation, internal characteristics) and gold finish may result in minor visual differences from the photographs shown. Lab-grown stones are visually equivalent to natural stones of the same grading.
8. Product Weight
Gold weight shown on the website is approximate. Final weight may vary slightly depending on ring size, selected specifications, stone configuration, and production tolerance.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-delivery resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: supplier inventory changes, courier failures, customs delays, natural disasters, war, strikes, public health emergencies, or technical failures of payment processors. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer a comparable alternative, an extended delivery time, or a full refund.
10. Anti-Money Laundering
Pursuant to Act No. 253/2008 Coll. on selected measures against the legitimization of proceeds of crime and the financing of terrorism (the AML Act), we may request a copy of an identification document (passport or ID card) before processing orders with a total value at or above EUR 10,000 (or the equivalent in CZK). This identification is performed once per customer and applies only to high-value transactions.
11. Personal Data
We process personal data strictly as needed to fulfil your order, comply with our legal obligations (notably accounting and tax law), and provide customer support. The full description — categories of data, legal bases, retention periods, subprocessors, and your rights under GDPR — is set out on our Privacy Policy page.
12. Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute that we cannot resolve directly, you may turn to: • Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection — supervisory authority): www.coi.cz • EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr We will fully cooperate with any out-of-court resolution procedure. You are also entitled to bring the dispute before the competent court.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and any contract concluded under them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the competent court of the Czech Republic, save where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of habitual residence provide otherwise.
Kove Promise (voluntary)
In addition to statutory remedies, we offer a voluntary promise: for 14 days from delivery you may return the piece for 100% Kove store credit (no expiry) or for a cash refund minus 20% (the deduction covers gold melt-loss on refining, atelier labour, payment-processing fees, and return shipping). The piece must be in the condition it was delivered, with the IGI/GIA certificate and its original packaging. Start a return by emailing orders@kove.jewelry. This promise is a voluntary contractual undertaking by KOVE; it creates no statutory entitlement and does not modify §1837 or any other statutory provision. Full terms in the Return Policy.
