What does inside-out mean on a hoop?
Inside-out means the diamonds run along the outer face of the hoop and continue on the inner face. From the front you see the outer row; as the hoop turns with your head the inner row catches the light, so there is no plain-metal side. On the Essentials Inside-Out Hoops the round brilliants are lab-grown, F–G colour, VS clarity, Very Good cut.
Which hoop size should I choose?
10.8 or 12.9 mm (0.50 or 1.00 ct per pair) for daily wear; 16.8 or 17.6 mm for an evening hoop. Sizes are stated per pair: 0.50 ct on a hoop about 10.8 mm high (34 stones, 2.0 mm wide), 1.00 ct at 12.9 mm (32 stones, 2.35 mm), 2.01 ct at 16.8 mm (34 stones, 2.9 mm) and 3.01 ct at 17.6 mm (30 stones, 3.4 mm). The two smaller sizes hug the lobe; the two larger ones are fuller evening hoops.
14K or 18K gold for hoops?
14K for hoops worn daily, 18K for a warmer yellow tone; the diamonds are the same. 14K (hallmark 585) contains 58.3% gold, is harder and keeps the hoop's shape better. 18K (hallmark 750) contains 75% gold and costs more; in white gold the visible difference is small. The Essentials Inside-Out Hoops come in both karats, in yellow or white gold.
Are the diamonds certified?
Yes — every pair of Essentials Inside-Out Hoops comes with an IGI jewelry report issued for the finished earrings, not a certificate for each stone. The report states the total carat weight and the quality of the lab-grown diamonds: F–G colour, VS clarity, Very Good cut. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and optically the same as mined diamonds, which is why a 2.01 ct pair costs a fraction of its natural-diamond equivalent.
